You can now book an Etihad flight with the GPT-powered Botim app

Etihad flight booking, payment and other travel-related services are now integrated into the internet chat and calling app

Etihad Airways has now made it even easier to book a flight on your phone with a new partnership with a popular internet chat and calling app.

Travellers can now book flights on Etihad through Botim, a VoIP solution that was recently relaunched as an ‘ultra app’. The partnership was signed at the Arabian Travel Market by Antonoaldo Neves, Etihad CEO, and Abdallah Abu Sheikh, founder of Astra Tech, the investment firm backed by Abu Dhabi’s G42 that recently acquired the popular Middle East internet calling service.

The partnership adds a new hassle-free platform to book flights on the UAE’s national airline through the Botim GPT module developed by Astra Tech. Flights and other travel-related services are now integrated into the Botim app, giving travellers a convenient and simplified gateway to book Etihad flights and make a payment.

The move is part of Etihad’s efforts to adopt innovative solutions such as GPT-enabled flight bookings, said Antonoaldo Neves, CEO of Etihad Airways. The airline has recently announced a new partnership with Emirates Airlines that allows travellers to book return flights to cities served by both airlines on a single ticket.

“By integrating flight bookings into the application, Etihad becomes a part of the conversation, making it convenient for guests to book flights without leaving the platform,” said Neves.

“Additionally, the integration of new payment options simplifies the booking process for customers.”

The new service complements Etihad’s expanding international network, with several new direct flights from Abu Dhabi being launched this year.
