No more 100 km/h on this key Abu Dhabi road

Effective 7 June, stick to the new speed limits to avoid getting fined

Another day, another speed limit change in the UAE capital!

Starting today, 7 June, the Abu Dhabi Police has announced a new speed limit change on this key road in Abu Dhabi.

If you’re driving on Umm Yafina Street, there’s a changed speed limit from both sides, i.e, Al Reem Island to Sheikh Zayed Road (Al Qurum).

Currently, the speed limit stands at 100 km/h, however, the changes have not been specified on social media as yet.

The authorities said that the speed limit changes are likely to improve traffic flow, road accidents and the safety of road users.

Just last week, there was another speed limit reduction on a section of Abu Dhabi’s Sweihan Road. Effective 4 June, the speed limit has been slashed from 140 km/h to 120 km/h.

With fines on road safety being strict in the UAE capital, you would do well to adhere to all the latest updates on speed limits!
