Abu Dhabi to Dubai bus service resumes

Only 35 passengers will be allowed aboard on Abu Dhabi to Dubai bus.

Listen up folks because travel between Abu Dhabi and Dubai is going to be a lot easier from now on.

The Abu Dhabi to Dubai bus service finally resumed operations this week with the first passengers ferried between the two cities on Thursday (8 September).

Running every hour, seven days-a-week, no green Al Hosn pass will be needed travelling from the capital to Dubai, however, a negative PCR test result on the app will be needed from Dubai to Abu Dhabi.

However, capacity per bus will be limited to 35 passengers and availability will be based on a first come, first served basis.

The route between the UAE’s two largest cities has been suspended since last year due to the outbreak of the Covid-19 pandemic, aside from a one-way service that was operational during Eid Al Adha from the capital to Dubai.

The news follows hot on the heels of the resumption of bus services from Abu Dhabi to Ajman and Sharjah which began on Sunday and Monday respectively.
