Kids across the UAE invited to paint their vision of the future at The Seed in Abu Dhabi

The initiative will showcase young people’s imaginative hopes and aspirations, and you can even get to see never-seen-before sketches of the conceptualization of ‘The Seed’ sculpture.

Children from across the UAE have been called on to paint their vision of the future at The Seed’ art installation on Jubail Island, Abu Dhabi.

Children are being welcomed to decorate a collection of 20cm square blocks that will be stacked to produce a colourful wall of art.

The artistic brief is simple – to paint their vision for the future of the UAE. Showcasing young people’s imaginative hopes and aspirations, the installation will form a vibrant centrepiece at the site of ‘The Seed’.

A series of interactive experiences for visitors to enjoy are also available on site, including a Polaroid wall that features images of visitors in front of the breath-taking cube, a ‘Lest We Forget’ gift shop, and an exhibition that includes never-before-seen sketches of the conceptualizing of the kinetic art sculpture.

Many people tuned in to the recent Official 49th UAE National Day celebration on 2 December, which centred on a kinetic art sculpture.

The unique art piece has now been transformed into an art installation named The Seed’ for the public to enjoy until 30 January.

Tickets are AED 30 for those aged 18 years and above, and AED15 for those aged seven – 17, to visit the site and enjoy a spectacular display of light, art and music amid Jubail Island’s majestic mangrove forests.

A newly created beach area, which looks out onto the stunning sculpture, safely seats up to 400 people in a relaxed setting.

All of the money from the tickets is being used to fund a conservation programme in the mangroves.

The site opens at 5pm each day –except Sundays – to allow people to take their seats before sunset. An audio-visual experience is played continuously between 6pm and 8pm, while food and beverage is served from on-site food trucks.
