The cooler weather means it’s time to get the barbeque out in Abu Dhabi
It’s officially barbecue season, so its time to fire up the grill and let those skewers sizzle.
Whether you’re marinating meat, tossing veggies, or perfecting the halloumi, Abu Dhabi has plenty of outdoor spots where you can grill to your heart’s content.
But first, a friendly reminder: check that your chosen park allows barbecues, and follow the rules! As part of its Darna, Our Responsibility campaign, Abu Dhabi City Municipality asks everyone to keep parks tidy, pop charcoal in the designated containers, and respect the greenery.
Field teams are out and about, spreading the barbecue love responsibly, because sizzling safely keeps our parks happy.

Dolphin Park – Sheikh Zayed Street

Immediately recognisable from its striking dolphin water fountain, Dolphin Park is a favourite among picnickers. The popular green spot beside the magnificent Eastern Mangroves is an ideal location to fire up the grill for an evening underneath the stars.
Khalifa Park – Khalifa City
Located behind Abu Dhabi’s TwoFour54 area, there’s a lot to do at Khalifa Park. From a maritime museum to the cultural library, it’s the perfect place to grill your steaks and sausages before hopping on the miniature train.
Family Park – Between Al Hosn Street and Khalid bin Waleed Street

Running parallel with Abu Dhabi’s beautiful Corniche, the Family Park is an ideal location to fire-up a yummy barbecue as the little ones hop on the pirate ship in the play area. Catch the most beautiful sunset as you indulge in the juicy tenderness of your grilled tikkas and kababs.
Heritage Park – Between Zahya Street and Milna traffic signal

Popular among filmmakers, Heritage Park boasts lush spaces and picturesque fountains. Dedicated barbecue spots across the park offer a perfect family day out. So pack up your tender cuts and make your way to the Heritage Park, located near the Mina Zayed Port.
Gate Park – Yas Island
This park has a wide range of activities like bike tracks, an interactive bounce park, a golf course and basketball courts just to name a few. Not forgetting, of course, the barbecue spots dotted around the park where you can grill burgers and sausages to your heart’s delight as the sun goes down.
