On 22 and 23 September 2025, the hotel’s signature restaurant Shang Palace will host a spectacular eight-hand dinner, a refined collaboration between four of Shangri-La’s most acclaimed Chinese chefs.
This exclusive, two-night-only event sets the stage for the grand ‘Taste of Shangri-La’ celebration coming in October, and promises a masterful fusion of traditional Chinese flavours and modern culinary artistry.

Step into the world of Chinese haute cuisine as the following culinary talents unite for an extraordinary evening:
Chef Qiguo Su – Abu Dhabi’s Sichuan expert, celebrated for his refined Peking Duck
Chef Peter Lau Chee Wei – From Dubai, blending Cantonese, Teochew, Malaysian, and Singaporean flavours
Chef Cheng Lu – Istanbul’s dim sum and seafood virtuoso, with 30+ years of experience
Chef Sky Wong Kum Choy – Jeddah’s master of modern Chinese cuisine, fusing tradition with global finesse

Together, they will present an exquisite eight-course menu that dances between delicacy and decadence.

Crystal Pink Lobster Dumplings
Crispy Duck Wrap with Foie Gras and Caviar

And more carefully crafted dishes inspired by heritage and seasonality
