The Chinese Lunar New Year gets underway with a traditional Lion Dance ceremony on 29 January. Witness a centuries-old tradition that begins with the dotting of the eyes bringing the lion to life.
The lions gracefully sway to the rhythm of the beating drums, performing the ‘Cai Qing’ or the plucking of the auspicious greens before making their way through the Qaryat Al Beri complex.
This ceremony is followed by a ‘Yee Sang’ toss that is set to bring prosperity as guests at Shangri-La Qaryat Al Beri, Abu Dhabi mark the beginning of the ‘Year of the Snake.’

Indulge in a limited-edition ‘Lunar Afternoon Tea’ at the Lobby Lounge, featuring a show-stopping menu with sweet and savoury delicacies.
