From the Chef behind the viral Dubai Chocolate comes a new city flavour

After taking the world by storm with the viral sensation Dubai Chocolate, renowned chocolatier Chef Nouel Catis returns with a bold new creation: Abu Dhabi Chocolate, the second release in his artisanal “City Chocolates” collection under his brand, SNA’AP.

This new flavour is a tribute to the UAE capital’s quiet sophistication, cultural richness, and timeless elegance.

It pays homage to the city where Chef Nouel first launched his global culinary journey; a heartfelt ode to Abu Dhabi as a place of possibility, heritage, and gracious hospitality.

Designed to mirror the balance of tradition and modernity the capital is known for, each ingredient was hand-selected to evoke the city’s textures and tones:

  • Saffron & Cardamom – deep and aromatic, echoing heritage;
  • Tahina & Dates – a smooth and earthy nod to Emirati tradition;
  • Signature nostalgic crunch – a familiar comfort and heartfelt memory;
  • All wrapped in thick salted caramel chocolate and crowned with 24K gold flakes.

The result is a refined, globally minded flavour rooted in local culture, just like Abu Dhabi itself.
“Abu Dhabi has always felt like home,” says Chef Nouel Catis, creator of both Dubai and Abu Dhabi Chocolate.

“This chocolate is my love letter to its heritage, its artistry, and its quiet kind of beauty. It celebrates a city of enduring traditions, visionary growth, and deep creative spirit.”

To celebrate the debut, Rain Café hosted an exclusive launch event, transformed into a multi-sensory storytelling experience:

A live Arabic vinyl DJ set by Mckie Alvarez of WYWY, one of the UAE’s most beloved indie artists

A visual showcase of the city, “moving postcards” by Sandbox Creatives, capturing Abu Dhabi’s soul in motion

The Abu Dhabi Chocolate is now available exclusively at select Rain Café locations (AED100 for a 200g bar); bringing together two homegrown brands united by authenticity, artistry, and bold innovation.
