Desert adventurers, it’s time to gear up because the Liwa International Festival, a.k.a. Moreeb Dune 2025, is back, bringing all the sand-spinning, adrenaline-pumping action to Al Dhafra from 13 December 2024 to 4 January 2025.
Under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the Ruler’s Representative in the Al Dhafra Region, the Liwa International Festival will commence from 13 December 2024 to 4 January 2025, at Liwa, in the Al Dhafra Region.

Picture this: roaring engines, epic races, and plenty of family-friendly fun, all under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
Set at the legendary Moreeb Dune – the UAE’s tallest dune, towering an impressive 300 metres – this year’s event promises a wild lineup of motorsport magic.
From high-speed bike drag racing and Monster Jam trucks to dune-busting buggy races and the famous Hill Climb Championship, there’s no shortage of thrills!
Mark New Year’s Eve for a festival finale like no other, with a fireworks extravaganza, a live concert, and the much-awaited Hill Climbing showdown!
The excitement kicks off 13 December with a two-day car exhibition, followed by action-packed races and show-stopping stunts all month.
