Korea Festival 2024 brings K-Pop, culture and cuisine to Abu Dhabi

This immersive experience celebrates the best of Korean culture in the capital

 

The Korea Festival 2024 is back, bigger than ever before and kicks off this weekend in Abu Dhabi!

Celebrating its 12th year, this vibrant festival, organised by the Korean Cultural Center in Abu Dhabi, will bring a mix of contemporary and traditional Korean culture to Umm Al Emarat Park.

This year’s event coincides with the UAE’s National Festival of Tolerance, an ongoing nine-day celebration dedicated to promoting tolerance and coexistence, which began on 8 November.

 

K-Pop sensation ‘The Wind’ hits the stage

 

K-Pop fans are in for a treat with the popular band The Wind headlining the event. Their much-anticipated performance is set for 15 November, with a fan meet-and-greet on 16 November; an opportunity for fans to get up close with their idols.

 

A feast of cultural performances and art

 

Get ready to be transported to the heart of Korea with captivating performances! The lineup includes:

‘Unbelievable Show’ by Bubble J – a mesmerising outdoor performance near the amphitheater.

Traditional Korean Nongak – a lively Korean folk music and dance showcase by the Gwangju City Municipal Gwangjiwon Nongak Band.

Taekwondo Showcases – high-energy demonstrations by Akh Unit and the KCC Youth Taekwondo Team, highlighting the power and grace of Korea’s martial arts.

Namwon Gugak meets the UAE – an enchanting blend of traditional Korean music by the Namwon Municipal Traditional Orchestra.

Korean food and cultural experiences

 

Satisfy your taste buds at various food stalls offering a range of authentic Korean dishes, from savory snacks to sweet treats.

Dive deeper into Korean culture with hands-on workshops and demonstrations, open to all and starting daily from 3pm.

While entrance to the Korea Festival is free, there is a AED10 entry fee for Umm Al Emarat Park.
