This winter is about to get a lot more unforgettable on the backs of some of the most powerful horses.
For one whole hour, this horseback riding adventure is going to give you the chance to take in the gorgeous vistas around. And of course, the exhilaration of riding the resort’s majestic Arabian horses through the golden waves is simply incomparable.
With each session led by qualified horse guides, there are 11 powerful and expertly trained ex-endurance racing horses to carry you through the journey. No prior experience? No worries, for the sessions will be carefully tailored to each rider’s experiences and abilities.
The special packages in place are created to enable further interest in horse riding, with individual sessions priced at AED 300 per person for one hour. Dedicated riders can enjoy 10 classes for AED 2,500 accompanied by exclusive discounts on F&B and other lifestyle activities. To make it grander, you could also opt for 10 lessons and unlimited pool access for a month for AED 3,000, or alternatively 10 lessons and access to Saray Spa facilities for the same price.
Lucky to meet this baby pony!
Al Wathba has the entire family in mind when it comes to winter fun, and this baby proves it. The younger members of your family get to make a new friend, none other than the adorable ponies on ground.
Open to kids up to 8 years old, the pony rides will have them interact with riding resident pony Rocky for a full 30 minutes. What’s more, you also get to meet her sweet newborn daughter Lucky. A favourite amongst the guides and staff, it was a six-year-old guest who gave Lucky her name and cared for her days after her birth.
Guests are welcome to visit her at the horse stables and pet her, and if lucky enough, might be able to feed her stable guide approved treats too! The kids’ pony riding sessions are priced at AED 150 for 30 minutes with an expert coach, which must be supervised by an adult or parent throughout.

What’s more Arabian than riding a camel through the shimmering Al Wathba desert?
One of the region’s oldest modes of transport, the camel riding sessions take you straight back to life as Bedouins, whilst creating a newfound appreciation for these magnificent creatures.
Al Wathba, Desert Resort & Spa is home to six friendly and characterful desert camels, and each experience is led by a group of talented and knowledgeable guides. The 60-minute camel riding experiences are priced at AED 250 per adult and AED 125 per child.

As they swoop through the desert skies, the resort’s charming owl and regal hawk join in to take part in an exciting show. Available daily during sunrise and sunset, falconry provides a magical way of starting and ending another blissful day in the desert.
The one-hour falconry demonstrations are available at AED 250 for adults, AED 125 for children, and AED 550 for a family.
