Hogwarts Castle, Diagon Alley and the Forbidden Forest are coming to Warner Bros. World Abu Dhabi, with the three new Harry Potter-themed zones set to open in 2029.
The highly anticipated expansion will bring the wizarding world to life on Yas Island, with each area offering its own immersive setting inspired by the Harry Potter universe.
But there’s more magic on the way, with the expansion also introducing world-exclusive Harry Potter-themed rides, promising a one-of-a-kind experience for fans across the Middle East.
First announced in 2022, the wizarding world is officially taking shape, and 2029 can’t come soon enough.

Where is all the magic happening?
The new land will be housed inside Warner Bros. World Abu Dhabi on Yas Island, a hub of entertainment that already boasts Ferrari World Abu Dhabi and SeaWorld Abu Dhabi.
The Harry Potter expansion will grow the park by roughly 26%, making the indoor playground even bigger and more enchanting. Construction is already underway, with new structures rising alongside the existing park.
Will the new Harry Potter land be all indoors?
Just like the rest of Warner Bros. World, the Harry Potter area will be entirely indoors and climate-controlled.
That means you can escape the UAE’s summer heat while exploring Hogwarts or strolling through Diagon Alley without breaking a sweat. Rain or shine, the magic never stops.
What part of the Wizarding World can we expect?
Hogwarts Castle will bring the magic of the school of witchcraft and wizardry to life, with grand architecture, familiar details and immersive experiences inspired by the films.
Diagon Alley will be all about exploring the wizarding high street, packed with magical shops, themed dining and plenty of details to discover as you wander its winding streets.
Then there’s the Forbidden Forest, where things are set to get a little more mysterious. You can expect a darker, more atmospheric environment inspired by the enchanted woodland and its magical creatures.
Across all three areas, visitors can expect themed attractions, world-exclusive rides, shops, food and plenty of photo-worthy moments, creating an immersive Harry Potter experience unlike anything currently in the Middle East.

Will there be rides?
While exact details are under wraps, at least three original rides are expected. These won’t just be clones of the Universal parks; they’re designed specifically for Abu Dhabi’s experience, giving guests something fresh and magical to explore.
Can we shop and eat like a true wizard?
The land will feature retail shops and dining venues themed to the Wizarding World. While names and menus haven’t been revealed yet, expect magical merchandise, character-inspired gifts, and classic Harry Potter treats.
Whether you’re hunting for a wand or craving a Butterbeer, there will be plenty of ways to satisfy your wizarding cravings.
Do I need a separate ticket for the Harry Potter land?
It is not yet known if the standard Warner Bros. World Abu Dhabi ticket will include access to the Harry Potter attractions.

It has been officially announced that Abu Dhabi’s Harry Potter land will be completed by 2029, so we can expect an opening date around that time – wands at the ready!
Is this really the first Harry Potter experience outside Universal?
