It goes without saying that Abu Dhabi has considerably upped its game when it comes to the promotion of basketball in the region, with two more iconic NBA teams set to play in exhibition games in October once more.
And now, the time has come to catch all the iconic basketball figures right here in Etihad Arena!
The USA boasts a monopoly on Olympics wins over the course of the last 20 years with some of the NBA’s greatest ever players turning out for a country that has won honours in the sport a whopping 19 times.
Their squad for the Olympics was announced earlier this week with some iconic figures involved including legends of the game Lebron James, Steph Curry, Kevin Durant, Jayson Tatum and Joel Embiid.

In a move that is set to delight basketball fans up and down the region, the USA national team will play two friendly games against Australia on 15 July and Serbia on 17 July at Yas Island’s Etihad Arena.

Abu Dhabi has poured a lot of attention into developing basketball in the region with many major events taking place over the course of the last number of years.
The UAE welcomed the USA, Greece, Germany, Egypt, Mexico and Lebanon contested friendlies in August before the NBA returned for two more pre-season games between the Dallas Mavericks and Minnesota Timberwolves thereafter.
