A soprano, four musicians and artificial intelligence share one stage in the capital
Abu Dhabi is hosting Encounters of Intelligences, a first-of-its-kind concert where live music meets artificial intelligence, landing at Zayed Theatre, Sorbonne University Abu Dhabi on 3 October 2026.
Created and curated by soprano Isabel Cañada Luna, it treats AI not as a replacement for the musician, but as a genuine creative partner in the room.
The show unfolds across three acts, opening with purely acoustic classical performance rooted in human interpretation alone.
From there it moves into electronic and AI-generated sound, hybrid visuals and real-time audiovisual elements that share the stage with the performers.
By the final act, the audience is pulled into the process, helping shape an AI-created musical work as it happens live.
Throughout, projections respond to every note, turning sound and interaction into shifting visual environments.
Cañada Luna is joined by Natalia Oddi Vergnani on flute, Feras Rada on guitar, Iryna Krainska on piano and Hadi Alnabhan on percussion a lineup spanning European, Arab and contemporary influences.
A standout moment is Rada’s composition Khilal, performed live alongside its composer.
