A new generation of musicians revisits the enduring melodies of one of the Arab world’s defining composers
An Evening of Mohammed Abdel Wahab comes to Cultural Foundation Abu Dhabi on Friday, 2 October.
The concert celebrates the legacy of the legendary Egyptian composer and singer, whose work helped shape modern Arabic music.
Known as “The Musician of Generations”, Abdel Wahab brought traditional Arabic melodies into dialogue with Western musical influences.
His compositions travelled across cinema, radio and recordings, becoming part of the region’s shared cultural memory.
Now, familiar works return in a new symphonic setting, offering audiences a fresh way to experience his music.
The performance takes place in the Auditorium on the ground floor, with doors opening for audiences aged six and above.
Tickets start from AED 100, with the concert beginning at 7:30pm.
