Rooted in Emirati culture with its workplace humour and references, Hamour Doesn’t Leave the Cubicle (هامور لا يغادر المكتب) is a satirical play that critiques real-life bureaucratic frustrations experienced by employees worldwide. Commissioned by ADMAF, the play blends the ordinary with the absurd, showcasing the characters’ navigation through different layers of bureaucracy—from sending a simple email to holding a funeral for a pen.

Thought-provoking and humorous, this Arabic-language performance, with English subtitles, encourages audiences to reflect on work processes while highlighting the role of humour as a tool for insight and change.
