Professional sumo wrestling is coming to Abu Dhabi for the very first time with the All-Star Sumo Elite Competition at Space42 Arena.
The landmark event marks the UAE’s first international professional sumo exhibition, featuring nine elite wresters competing in 36 fast-paced bouts while showcasing the sport’s rich ceremonial traditions.
The lineup for the matches include champions from Egypt, Japan and Mongolia, headlined by 10-time Egyptian national champion Ramy, the world’s heaviest sumo wrestler Hiroki, and the Emperor’s cup winner Ichi.
Beyond the matches, audience’s can experience traditional wrestler introduction, Japanese Taiko drumming, themed photo opportunities, food and beverage stalls as well as an exclusive meet-and-greet for VIP ticket passes.
