A pioneering contemporary oud artist performs live in the capital for the first time
Dhafer Youssef is set to make his Abu Dhabi premiere with a one-night performance at Louvre Abu Dhabi on 19 December 2026.
The Tunisian oud virtuoso, vocalist and composer is renowned for blending Arab musical traditions with jazz, classical, Indian and Turkish influences to create a sound that is entirely his own.
Taking place in the Auditorium Plaza, Youssef will perform a programme featuring celebrated compositions alongside new works that push the boundaries of contemporary music.

Born in Tunisia and now based between Vienna, Paris and New York, Youssef has spent more than three decades redefining the role of the oud on the global stage.
