The annual celebration of the emirate’s heritage is back, this time with more surprises and fun to be expected. Running from 19 to 28 January, the festival will be held at Al Hosn, home to the city’s most treasured historic site, Qasr Al Hosn.
With doors opening at 4pm, you will have until 11pm to explore all that the Al Hosn Festival 2024 has to offer!
Get ready to step back in time and immerse yourself in the traditions of the Emirati community, right from their signature hospitality and food to experiencing firsthand the dress, customs, performances and crafts that informs our lives today.
Given the multicultural fabric of Abu Dhabi, Al Hosn Festival is the perfect opportunity for all diverse communities to come together and make unexpected discoveries, build connections with our past and take part in Abu Dhabi’s ever evolving story.
What can you expect at Al Hosn Festival 2024?
As usual, the festival will be rife with souks displaying the traditional goods iconic to Abu Dhabi’s landscape.

That aside, there will be plenty of workshops and interactive activations for the little ones, as well as traditional shows, musical performances and art exhibits to keep the entire family entertained.

What’s new at Al Hosn Festival this year?
This year in the Heritage Zone, get ready to encounter the region’s iconic camels and the traditions that surround them. That aside, you can also partake in the social practices of welcoming a new baby to Al Hosn, and explore a bustling souk filled with the fashion and adornments beloved of Emirati women.
That aside, don’t forget to explore the Craft Zone, where you can try henna and enjoy a bespoke space that expresses the design of an Emirati home. It’s the ultimate coming together of antique sellers, designers, and new creative studios from across the UAE.
You can also immerse yourself in the spirit of today’s Abu Dhabi in the Community Zone. Here lies more captivating live performances and boutique retailers than ever, making for the perfect visual treat!
For the first time ever, Al Hosn Festival will also play host to local chefs, ready to dish out culinary delights for an authentic Abu Dhabi experience. We can’t wait.
