Parents looking ahead to their children’s education in the UAE will soon have another prestigious option to consider.
One of the UK’s best-known independent schools is officially heading to the UAE with plans to open two brand-new campuses, one in Abu Dhabi and another in Dubai.
According to a report in The National this week, Epson College will open its Abu Dhabi campus in September 2028, with the Dubai school following two years later in 2030.
It’s the latest sign that the UAE is continuing to attract some of Britain’s most respected schools, giving families even more choice when it comes to premium education.
Founded in 1855 in Surrey, England, Epsom College has built a strong reputation for academic excellence, sports and extracurricular opportunities.
The UAE schools will offer a British curriculum from early years through to sixth form, catering to students from kindergarten right through to graduation.
Each campus is expected to accommodate between 2,000 and 2,500 students once fully operational, making them among the larger premium schools in the country.
The Abu Dhabi campus is being designed as a purpose-built school inspired by Epsom College’s original grounds in the UK.
Plans include impressive sports facilities, including a 50-metre swimming pool, fully equipped gyms, football pitches, cricket fields, tennis courts, basketball courts and netball courts.
Students will also have access to dedicated buildings for early years, primary and secondary education, alongside specialist spaces for music, drama and dining.
While tuition fees for the UAE campuses haven’t yet been announced, families can expect the schools to sit within the premium British school market.

Epsom College isn’t the only internationally recognised school expanding into the Emirates.
Over the past year, several prestigious British institutions have announced plans to open campuses across Abu Dhabi and Dubai as demand for high-quality education continues to grow.
Among them is Harrow School, which is preparing to welcome students to new campuses in both emirates.
Meanwhile, King’s College School Wimbledon is set to open on Abu Dhabi’s Fahid Island in 2028, while Rugby School is also launching a Dubai campus.
The growing list of internationally recognised schools reflects the UAE’s ambition to strengthen its position as a leading destination for education, attracting families from around the world with a wide range of high-quality learning options. With Epsom College now joining that list, parents can expect even more choice over the next few years as the country’s education landscape continues to expand.
