Students at Cranleigh Abu Dhabi took centre stage with their second youth-led sustainability summit, welcoming energy experts and sparking meaningful dialogue
Cranleigh Abu Dhabi (CAD), highlighted the power of student leadership with its second MCOP (Mini Conference of the Parties), a youth-led environmental summit inspired by the global COP gatherings.
Organised entirely by students in Years 11 to 13, the event reflected a growing interest among youngsters in climate issues and environmental action.
Designed to raise awareness and encourage discussion around sustainability, the summit welcomed keynote speaker Toddington Harper, CEO of GRIDSERVE and a prominent advocate for clean energy.
In his talk, Harper highlighted the role of youth in shaping the future, urging students to stay curious, creative, and committed to positive change.
The event created a space for thoughtful dialogue and demonstrated how student initiative can spark meaningful conversations around the environment.
With ongoing sustainability projects already in place, such as a student Green Team and eco-focused initiatives, Cranleigh Abu Dhabi continues to explore ways of engaging its community in environmental learning.
