A championship finish in Scotland for pupils and staff at Brighton College Al Ain
Brighton College Al Ain pupils and staff are celebrating after being crowned overall team champions at the World School Games Golf Championship 2025 in Scotland.
The four-day event brought together more than 100 young golfers from 23 schools across 16 countries.
Pupils competed on some of Scotland’s most historic and challenging courses, including Royal Musselburgh, Musselburgh Golf Club, and Fairmont St Andrews.
Driving home the win
Brighton College Al Ain not only claimed the team prize but also saw standout individual performances.
Year 9 pupil Summer Langford took first place in the Women’s Junior Stableford, while Louis Keddie (Year 7) placed third and Zachary Hambleton (Year 9) finished sixth in the Junior Stableford.
Keegan Poisat (Year 9), playing with a standout handicap of 2.6, achieved a top-ten finish in the Junior Strokeplay.
Adding to the success, Director of Sport Allan Keddie shone in the Teachers’ category.

Commenting on the achievement, Head Master Mr Oliver Bromley-Hall said: “We are immensely proud of our pupils and all that they have achieved at the WSG Golf Championship. Their teamwork, resilience, and talent reflect everything we strive to instil at Brighton College Al Ain. Moments like these show our values in action with young people challenging themselves, uplifting one another, and succeeding on the world stage.”
The event also introduced new features this year, including live streaming with professional commentary, Shot Tracer technology, and enhanced spectator experiences, enabling families around the world to follow the action in real-time.
