Three BIS Abu Dhabi students are heading to Houston for a global summit on leadership and sustainability

Three students from The British International School Abu Dhabi (BIS Abu Dhabi) are preparing for an exciting transatlantic adventure after being selected to attend the 2025 Nord Anglia Education Student Summit in Houston, Texas.

Zahra and Diyaar (both Year 10) and Meriam (Year 12) will join over 160 peers from 54 Nord Anglia schools worldwide for a week-long summit focused on leadership, global citizenship, and the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Taking place from 21 to 28 June, the summit is hosted by The Village School and the British International School of Houston.

Workshops led by UNICEF, Generation Global, and other international organisations will give students the chance to explore issues such as sustainability, children’s rights, and community action.

Delegates will also participate in local volunteering and collaborate to create capstone projects that tackle real-world challenges.

Principal Alan Cocker said, “We are incredibly proud of our students’ dedication to global citizenship and social impact. Their selection reflects their passion and leadership in driving meaningful change.”

Good luck to all!
