BIS Abu Dhabi wins 2025 MENA Award for its inclusive parent partnership approach

The British International School Abu Dhabi (BIS Abu Dhabi) has won the 2025 MENA School Excellence Award for Parent Partnership, recognising its work in building a strong, inclusive and collaborative school community.

This win follows the school’s triple nomination earlier this year in the prestigious regional awards, which celebrate innovation and excellence across international schools in the UAE and wider MENA region.

BIS Abu Dhabi’s award-winning Parent Partnership Strategy, led by its “Parent Power” initiative, focuses on open dialogue and meaningful engagement between families and the school.

From the Head’s Together sessions and parent-led Big Issue speaker series, to language classes and digital engagement tools, the school has created multiple platforms for parents to connect, contribute and feel heard.

The impact? Initiatives have led to a 45% increase in parent event participation, 94% satisfaction with parent feedback sessions, and a 15% rise in student enrolment, all pointing to a school community where families feel supported and involved.

The school was also shortlisted in the categories of Early Years and Student Wellbeing, highlighting its broader commitment to student success.
