The Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi (DCT Abu Dhabi) has announced Berklee Abu Dhabi’s upcoming range of programmes in the Fall season for budding musicians across the region.
Berklee Abu Dhabi invites aspiring musicians to embark on an enriching journey with its diverse range of courses, featuring comprehensive vocal and piano programmes for all levels.
This includes immersive experiences in digital music production and mixing, the art of DJing and turntablism, and more.
Throughout the semester, the Berklee Abu Dhabi Center will host workshops and masterclasses designed to explore various topics, creating awareness about the diverse career opportunities within the industry.
These events are accessible to all creatives, regardless of their level of expertise. The offerings include masterclasses on scoring for film and video games, contemporary Arabic music, five-day intensive workshops on music therapy and music business, and a two-day symposium for creative arts educators.
And towards the end of the semester, students and the wider Berklee Abu Dhabi community will celebrate their musical accomplishments and academic achievements at the centre’s during the Berklee Abu Dhabi End-of-Year Concert.

Performance Artistry and Leadership (PEARL) Certification Programme
The PEARL programme is a competitive, experiential learning artist accelerator that will equip students with first-hand, in-depth knowledge from world-leading industry experts covering strategies and tools in song writing, production, marketing and entrepreneurship.
By the end of the programme, students will write, record and produce their own music, with a huge opportunity to become independent musicians with major hits in the fiercely competitive music industry.
Programme level: Ages 15 and above
Dates: 9 September – 29 November, 2024, from 4pm – 8pm
Programme fee: AED17,615
Berklee Abu Dhabi Vocal Programme
This programme will develop students’ vocal techniques. The classes are designed to increase students’ vocal range, build vocal strength, master the ability to blend smoothly within vocal registers, achieve mixed voice and belt coordination, master diverse musical styles, and much more.
The programme is open to all levels and will enable students to work closely with other vocalists to discover concepts such as blend, harmony, performance strategies, and vocal health.

Berklee Abu Dhabi Piano Programme
This programme will enable students to become highly proficient pianists across diverse genres. Skills honed including scales, arpeggios, sight-reading and chord symbol terminology, chord voicing and more.
Students can also expect to master popular piano styles, from classical to jazz, pop and even rock. The programme provides access to private instruction, group labs, harmony, and ear training classes.

Digital Music Mixing
An ideal continuation to Berklee Abu Dhabi’s Digital Music Production course, this certification programme will teach students the steps of the mixing process. It will dive into music mixing techniques including equalisation, panning, reverb and delays, and automation techniques.
Programme level: Intermediate/Advanced
Dates: 9 September 9 – 25 November, from 6pm – 8pm
Programme fee: AED2,936
DJing and Turntablism Labs
This programme will enable students to become skilled turntablists across diverse genres. The course will cover a range of skills and techniques, including cueing, mixing, beat matching, beat extending, mashups, and blending.
Programme level: Beginner/Intermediate
Dates: 9 September 9 – 27 November 27, from 6.30pm – 8.30pm
Programme fee: AED1,101 for six sessions and AED3,303 for 12 sessions.
Digital Music Production
This course will build students’ skills in digital music production, with powerful tools and techniques for success. It will cover everything from the basics of audio and how to use a digital audio workstation to pre-production, recording, editing, and mixing techniques.
Students will also be able to put their knowledge to practical use through a series of assignments, learning how to create their own songs and instrumental tracks.
Programme level: Beginner/Intermediate
Dates: 13 September 13 – 29 November, from 6pm – 8pm
