If you’re looking for something new and interesting to do, look no further than the brilliant line-up at The Arts Center at New York University, Abu Dhabi. Discover the shared & distinct musical collaborations of islander song keepers from the Pacific and Indian Oceans as they voice the concerns of a changing ocean.
Running on 29 November at 7.30pm, you can witness the breathtaking fruits of some significant labour, all for free! That’s right, there are five whole pairs of tickets to be won to this stunning display.
But first, a little more about the show.
Small Island Big Song unites musicians of island nations through song, drawing from the shared seafaring heritage of the Pacific & Indian Oceans. The concert brings together some of the most prominent artists of Taiwan, Madagascar, Mauritius, Tokelau/Aotearoa (New Zealand), and Rapa Nui (Easter Island), performing songs they co-wrote over the past eight years, supported by live visuals with footage filmed over 16 island nations on a 3-year field trip.
