Experience Abu Dhabi, the destination brand of the Department of Culture and Tourism Abu Dhabi (DCT Abu Dhabi), has just launched an exciting new campaign that invites you to uncover the rich history, attractions, and hidden gems of Al Ain, the Living Oasis city.

Titled “Al Ain: A Living Oasis,” this four-part documentary-style series takes you straight to the heart of Al Ain, showcasing the city’s rich blend of culture, adventure, and tradition.

The campaign follows two Emirati friends, Obaid AlBudoor, a corporate banker turned photographer, and Salem Al Attas, as they explore everything from ancient forts and lush oases to thrilling outdoor activities and vibrant local life.

Obaid and Salem dive into traditional skills like archery and horseback riding, and even take on some adrenaline-pumping challenges that push them out of their comfort zones.

Whether it’s white-water rafting or experiencing Al Ain’s vibrant coffee culture, the duo’s adventures offer a fresh perspective on this historic city.

Al Ain, a UNESCO World Heritage site, is just over an hour from Abu Dhabi and Dubai.

It’s been inhabited for over 5,000 years and is packed with archaeological sites, restored forts, and ancient settlements that continue to influence the local crafts and traditions today.

“There’s a unique energy to Al Ain that really made an impact on me,” shared Obaid.

“As a photographer and explorer, it’s the perfect escape to recharge my creative energy.”

Salem added, “I hope our adventures inspire others to visit Al Ain, whether for the thrill of white-water rafting, trying local crafts, or simply immersing themselves in this amazing destination.”
