Abu Dhabi Children’s Library
There isn’t a library prettier and more interactive than this for kids in the UAE capital!
Housing a selection of fiction, non-fiction, novels, autobiographies and reference materials in several languages, Abu Dhabi Children’s Library is perfect for children up to the ages of 14. It also hosts a wide range of daily programmes and activities including early childhood development, reading and writing, arts and crafts, as well as exploration and innovation in its learning and play spaces.
Beit Beit
The Beit Beit pop-up at the Library takes children back to life before technology, when they played in imaginary homes built using pillows and mattresses. This experience includes a story exhibit, vintage doll exhibit, toy shop, and play area. Beit Beit is open until 3 March 2024 and entry is free of charge.
Al Marsam Al Hor
The Cultural Foundation’s art studio holds a variety of classes and workshops for teens and adults of all levels, teaching them the basics of art disciplines such as sketching, oil and watercolour painting, mixed media, sculpturing, ceramics work, pottery, fashion design, silk, and glass painting, embroidery and jewellery creation in its art studio, Al Marsam Al Hor.

Bait Al Khatt
Led by artist and calligrapher, Mohammed Mandi, Bait Al Khatt is a space dedicated to practicing the art of traditional Arabic calligraphy. Workshops and classes include Basics of Islamic Geometric Patterns, Handling of Ancient Manuscripts, Abstract Calligraphy and Ink Techniques, Arabic Calligraphy for Children and Letter Formation from Names.
Children’s Art Centre
The Children’s Art Centre is open to children between the ages of 5 and 14 years for a variety of art classes. Offered on a monthly basis, these classes include Brush, Canvas, Action; Ceramics Painting; Decoupage; Drawing and Colouring; Lines and Colours; Pottery; and Silk Painting.

Sukhishvili Georgian National Ballet
12-13 January 2024
Founded by renowned dance couple Iliko Sukhishvili and Nino Ramishvili, the Sukhishvili Georgian National Dance Company features a 70-strong ensemble that will delight audiences with folk dances of Georgia’s various ethnic groups and theatricals with live music played on folk instruments. Known for their incredible ability to leap, the Georgian National Dance Company bring their incredible dance show to Abu Dhabi on Friday and Saturday, 12 and 13 January. They have broken a world record at the famous La Scala stage in Milan, where the curtain rose 14 times. In the United States, they have been recognised twice as the best show on Broadway.
The Very Hungry Caterpillar
2-3 February 2024
This delightful and captivating theatrical production brings Eric Carle’s beloved children’s book, The Very Hungry Caterpillar to life through vibrant colours and compelling characters. Through imaginative storytelling, children will be transported on a journey of a little caterpillar’s transformation into a beautiful butterfly. It’s a wonderful introduction for little audiences and their families into the whimsical world of Eric Carle. This show is in partnership with Art For All.
