From thought-provoking installations to hands-on workshops and cultural performances, NOMAD Abu Dhabi offers a fresh, immersive art and design experience
Abu Dhabi’s airport is about to transform into a hub of art, design, and imagination this week as NOMAD Abu Dhabi makes its highly anticipated regional debut.
What makes it even more special is that the iconic Terminal 1 at Zayed International Airport, an architectural gem from the 1980s, will provide the setting for this art fair with a difference.
From Wednesday to Saturday, this international art and design fair invites you to experience something truly special.
Unlike traditional fairs, NOMAD Abu Dhabi focuses on intimate, curated experiences, blending contemporary artworks with the terminal’s soaring interiors, tent-like roof, and striking tiled patterns.
Homegrown talents like The Third Line, The AP Room, Leila Heller Gallery, Nika Project Space, and We Gallery share the spotlight with artists and galleries from across Europe, the Middle East, and North Africa, including Cairo, Milan, Istanbul, Paris, Tunis, and Florence.
You can wander through installations, sculptures, and design objects, discovering bold, thought-provoking creations alongside delicate, finely crafted pieces.

The fair also pushes boundaries with site-specific projects. The Tilad Collection by Irthi Contemporary Crafts Council, created with Mexican artist Ricardo Rendon, highlights female artisans from across the UAE and beyond.
Hechizoo, a Colombian atelier, presents When Earth Dreamt in Gold, and Super Loop merges traditional craft with contemporary furniture in its Fluid Echoes series.
While Inloco Gallery brings the Golden Container, a cargo container covered in gold leaf, filled with striking artworks that fuse space and storytelling in unexpected ways.
You can also join workshops, panel discussions, and interactive sessions, getting a hands-on glimpse into the creative process.
Local performances, traditional dance, and culinary delights add another layer, turning the event into a full cultural journey that celebrates Abu Dhabi’s vibrant creativity.
For anyone who loves design, innovation, or simply discovering something unexpected, NOMAD Abu Dhabi promises an immersive experience.
