The Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi (DCT Abu Dhabi) has announced the return of the Liwa International Festival 2026, running from 12 December 2025 to 3 January 2026 in Liwa, Al Dhafra Region.
In collaboration with Liwa Sports Club, Al Dhafra Municipality, Abu Dhabi Police, Miral, Abu Dhabi Media Network, and more, the festival cements Al Dhafra’s place as the UAE’s ultimate winter playground.

Over 23 action-packed days, expect blazing speed races, epic drift shows, dune-climbing daredevils, and off-road challenges, alongside live concerts, family entertainment, and cultural tours set against the breathtaking Tal Moreeb, the tallest sand dune in the UAE.
It’s a desert dream for campers, thrill-chasers, and heritage lovers alike as DCT Abu Dhabi roll out desert-inspired art, entertainment, and the much-loved Liwa Village.
Here you will discover handmade crafts, creative workshops, family fun zones, local shops, and foodie favourites from across the Emirates.
