This free creative programme at Guggenheim Abu Dhabi is empowering Abu Dhabi’s next generation of artists
Applications are now officially open for the first edition of ‘Contemporary Makers’, a brand-new youth programme by Guggenheim Abu Dhabi designed to shape, support, and elevate the next generation of creative talent in the UAE.
This is an exciting workshop series featuring a hands-on creative journey built for emerging artists who want to push boundaries, experiment freely, and develop real practice-led skills in a collaborative studio environment.
Developed in collaboration with Swalif Collective and MAKE Abu Dhabi, the programme brings together mentorship, artist-led sessions, and immersive making experiences that connect creativity with real-world practice.
And the best part? It’s completely free.
What is ‘Contemporary Makers’?
Contemporary Makers is a practice-based programme created to help young creatives grow through doing, not just learning.
Participants will work closely with professional artists and facilitators, exploring material, process, and storytelling through hands-on making.

The inaugural Spring cohort focuses on ceramics, offering participants the chance to shape ideas into tangible works, quite literally from clay to creation.
