The Arts Center at NYU Abu Dhabi celebrates its milestone tenth season with a thrilling line-up of events that encapsulate a decade of artistic brilliance.
Gaye Su Akyol is an Istanbul-based singer, songwriter and producer who is known for her innovative blend of Turkish psychedelia, folk, surf music, and ’90s Western rock.
She takes listeners on a futuristic journey, fusing Anatolian folk, African and Middle Eastern influences, and the soul revolution with elements of disco and rock.
Her lyrics, rich with cultural observations, weave together unpredictable sounds and ideas, creating a vibrant tapestry of music that dances between tradition and innovation.

TootArd, a dynamic duo of brothers Hasan and Rami Nakhleh, brings a fresh perspective to the global music scene with their fusion of retro funk, SWANA-inspired melodies, and contemporary pop.
Their genre-fluid approach results in a captivating blend of disco and dance music that transcends borders and captivates audiences worldwide.
On Thursday 19 September Gaye Su Akyol will take the stage first, followed by TootArd. The next day, Friday 20 September, the order reverses, with TootArd opening and Akyol closing the night.
