Cartographies, Revised is filled with emotion, memory and personal discovery
What do love stories, plants, old windows, and invisible memories have in common?
They all find a voice in Cartographies, Revised, a vibrant new exhibition now open at Manarat Al Saadiyat.
Brought to you by DCT Abu Dhabi’s Photography Studio, the show features seven emerging artists who spent four months reimagining photography; not as a technical exercise, but as a deeply personal exploration.
Through images, objects, sound, and texture, they’ve created intimate “maps” of their inner worlds and surroundings.
The artists, Aman Ali, Anna Jopp, Dana Al Dhaen, Fares Al Kaabi, Hessa Alzaabi, Reem Hamid, and Yousif Albadi, dive into themes like care and memory, plants in public spaces, the silence of demolished homes, and the tension between stillness and movement.

Their work invites you to slow down and reflect, not just look.
Guided by curator and artist Mouza Al Matrooshi, this third edition of the residency is less about rules and more about curiosity, experimentation, and storytelling.
Each piece is a glimpse into a lived moment, transformed into something visual, tactile, and completely unique.
Step into Cartographies, Revised and discover maps that won’t tell you where to go; but might just help you find something meaningful along the way.
