The current X owner lauded the Zayed International Airport in Abu Dhabi for its facial recognition feature
Zayed International Airport in Abu Dhabi was thrust into global news during the last couple of days when Tesla CEO Elon Musk commented on the advanced technology being used at the new facility.
Replying to a video posted on TikTok highlighting the seamless facial recognition feature at check-in at the airport, he replied on his own social media platform X that the “US needs to catch up”.
The video, originally shared by a TikTok user, highlighted the ease and efficiency of the self-service desks at Terminal A, which opened in November.
Passengers can check in online and proceed through the terminal using biometric facial recognition for all necessary visa and data verifications.
