If you needed any travel inspiration, Wizz Air has come to the rescue
Do you have a purple, Wizz Air-shaped hole in your heart? Well, we’ve got some good news. The airline is coming back with even more flights than originally announced.
After revealing that one route was returning (Larnaca, Cyprus) in November, now we have not two, not three – but four more.
New Wizz Air routes from Abu Dhabi
Here’s where Wizz Air will now fly from Abu Dhabi, according to their official website:
- Budapest, Hungary
- Katowice, Poland
- Kraków, Poland
- Larnaca, Cyprus
- Sofia, Bulgaria
The flights are now available to book on the official Wizz Air website, and fares are definitely inviting. Flights to the Cyprus capital Larnaca start from AED 290.20 for a return flight in January.
If you’re interested in experiencing a proper winter (i.e. pack several layers), you can also travel to the Bulgarian capital Sofia from AED 618 in November (return flight), or Budapest for AED 688, in January.

And if Poland has been on your bucket list or that’s where your family lives, you have not one, but two flights to pick from. A return flight to Kraków starts from AED 758 in November, and from AED 618 to Katowice, also in November.
This follows the news that Wizz Air was returning to the UAE capital with one route to Larnaca, Cyprus, announced back in September.
There are four weekly flights on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays, with fares starting from AED 108, from 15 November 2025.
At the time, airline representatives said: “We are delighted to bring our flights back to Abu Dhabi.
“With this return, Wizz Air once again brings its signature pink jets to the Abu Dhabi skies, reinforcing its commitment to expanding affordable travel opportunities across the region.”
Back in July, Wizz Air announced that it would be stopping their Abu Dhabi operations, due to significant changes in the ‘operating environment’ in the Middle East and citing ‘supply chain constraints, geopolitical instability, and market access’ as the main issues.
