There will be a public holiday for both the public and private sectors to mark the birth anniversary of Prophet Mohammed (PBUH)

The Federal Authority for Government Human Resources has officially announced that Friday, 5 September, which corresponds to 12th Rabi Al Awwal in the Islamic calendar, will be a public holiday for both public and private sector workers in the UAE.

The day commemorates the birthday of Prophet Mohammed (Peace Be Upon Him), a significant occasion in the Islamic world observed with reflection, prayers, and community gatherings.

The holiday conveniently falls on a Friday, giving many residents a long weekend, a perfect opportunity to rest, reconnect, or even plan a quick getaway.

As always, the public sector holiday announcement came first, closely followed by the same one for private sector workers!

Wishing everyone a peaceful and meaningful holiday.
