Get ready to bring out that inner Spartan, because the most intense sporting event is returning to Abu Dhabi once more!

Organised by Abu Dhabi Sports Council, the UAE capital is all set to host the third edition of the Spartan World Championship.

Returning to the Al Wathba desert for the third consecutive year, here’s your chance to witness a gathering of the most elite athletes across the globe.

The 2024 Spartan Beast World Championship will take place in the Al Wathba desert, Abu Dhabi, from 29 November to 1 December.

Last year the CEO of Spartan Joe De Sena was in Abu Dhabi to launch the world championships and also explain why the event is so important to him.

This event features a 21K Beast course challenging participants with obstacles that test strength, endurance, and speed.

Pro athletes must qualify by placing in the top 50 at regional championships, while all competitive athletes can join the Age Group Championships.

Since its launch in 2021, the first edition to be held outside the US, the event has seen a staggering number of participants, with the 2023 edition seeing over 5,000 male and female competitors from at least 75 countries.

The opening day will be dedicated to receiving all participants in preparation for the start of the competitions the next day.

Want to be part of the adrenaline-pumping fun? The Abu Dhabi Sports Council and Spartan will also organise community races suitable for all age groups on the sidelines of the event.

The weekend promises not only thrilling races but also rich cultural experiences and the largest festival Spartan has ever organised.
