Collectors, motorsport enthusiasts, and art lovers will have access to $1 billion worth of luxury assets
Ever imagined adding a Formula 1 car to your shopping list?
Next week, Abu Dhabi becomes the ultimate playground for collectors and motorsport enthusiasts as Sotheby’s inaugural Collectors’ Week takes over the St Regis Saadiyat Island Resort.
Over $1 billion in fine art, rare luxury, and supercars will be on offer and on display, including the once-in-a-lifetime chance to own a 2026 McLaren F1 car, months before it hits the track.
On 5 December, five live auctions will feature standout lots from McLaren Racing, including a 2026 F1 Team car campaigned by Lando Norris or Oscar Piastri; a 2027 McLaren LMDh hypercar from the FIA World Endurance Championship; and an Arrow McLaren INDYCAR from the Indianapolis 500.
Buyers will enjoy exclusive behind-the-scenes access to McLaren Racing, from tours of the McLaren Technology Centre to VIP on-track experiences.
For enthusiasts, this is the chance to place themselves at the heart of Formula 1 and endurance racing history.
But the excitement doesn’t stop on the track. Collectors’ Week also features $150 million of luxury and fine art across auctions and private sales.
Highlights include Jane Birkin’s most personal Birkin bag; the world’s largest Fancy Vivid Orangy Pink Diamond; the first complete set of Patek Philippe Star Caliber 2000 watches; and rare Colnago bicycles ridden by cycling legends like Tadej Pogačar and Eddy Merckx.
Sotheby’s Concierge Auctions will present two spectacular properties, including a French Riviera waterfront estate and a Zaha Hadid-designed gem in Austria.

Free talks, panel discussions, and masterclasses on jewellery, watches, and handbags will allow visitors to get closer to the art and craftsmanship behind these extraordinary objects. The event is free to attend, but you need to register via this form.
Damson Idris and UAE racing star Amna Al Qubaisi headline Sotheby’s campaign video, filmed at Abu Dhabi landmarks, bringing added glamour to the week.
Jean-Luc Berrebi of Sotheby’s said of the event: “Abu Dhabi represents a convergence of vision, culture, and opportunity. By bringing these auctions here, we are redefining how collectors experience art, luxury, and motorsport in the region.”
