Everything to know about the upcoming new lifestyle destination on Saadiyat Island

When people think of Saadiyat Island, it’s usually the big names that spring to mind. The Louvre Abu Dhabi, Saadiyat Beach, five-star resorts and soon, the Guggenheim Abu Dhabi.

But there’s another major attraction on the horizon, and it’s set to change the way people experience the island.

Opening in the fourth quarter of 2026, Saadiyat Grove is much more than another shopping centre. In fact, calling it a mall doesn’t really do it justice.

What can you expect at the new Saadiyat Grove mall?

Designed by Aldar as the centrepiece of Saadiyat Island’s Cultural District, it’s being created as a fully immersive lifestyle destination where shopping, dining, art, wellness and entertainment all come together.

You can think of it as a place where you can browse luxury fashion, enjoy lunch at a world-renowned restaurant, wander through public art installations and then head to one of the world’s greatest museums, all without leaving the neighbourhood.

Which retail stores will you find at Saadiyat Grove?

If you’re expecting rows of familiar high-street brands, think again.

Saadiyat Grove promises a carefully curated collection of international luxury labels, boutique retailers and innovative concepts that focus on craftsmanship, storytelling and design.

Confirmed stores include:

  • Audemars Piguet
  • Brunello Cucinelli
  • BVLGARI, Cartier
  • Chaumet
  • Dior
  • FENDI
  • James Perse
  • Loewe
  • Louis Vuitton
  • Tiffany & Co
  • Valentino
  • Van Cleef & Arpels

The destination will also welcome BEAMS, Japan’s leading culture and lifestyle retailer, to the UAE for the first time, bringing its distinctive Japanese approach to fashion, design and craftsmanship.

Every space has been designed to reflect the artistic spirit of Saadiyat’s Cultural District, turning a day of retail therapy into something much more exciting.

For visitors, that means spending less time rushing from one store to another and more time enjoying the destination itself.

What can foodies expect at Saadiyat Grove?

Food lovers have plenty to look forward to as well. Saadiyat Grove will welcome an impressive collection of restaurants, cafés and chef-led concepts, with several brands making their Abu Dhabi debut.

Its dining portfolio will include renowned concepts such as Alain Ducasse Café, Monsieur Paul, Kokoro Handroll Bar and Momofuku, offering a range of international culinary experiences.

Adding to its day-to-night offering, Saadiyat Grove will feature Abu Dhabi’s first Time Out Market, bringing together leading local chefs, restaurants and homegrown concepts across 16 kitchens, alongside a Time Out Café, beverage concepts and entertainment. Additional dining options at Louvre Residences Abu Dhabi will include Alica Deli, Barrafina, Gymkhana, Le Palais, Magma and Zephyr.

Anything else?

Saadiyat Grove will also host Saadiyat Forum, a 7,000 sqm space featuring an evolving programme of cultural experiences, events and collaborations, alongside a reimagined cinema experience. The destination will also feature a 2,200 sqm executive club with private offices, boardrooms, lounges and concierge services, as well as 25,000 sqm of premium Grade A office space across four buildings. Connected to a luxury hotel and surrounded by boutique and luxury hotels, the development is designed to create a seamless mix of work, leisure and hospitality.

Fitness and wellness will also take centre stage, with a 2,000 sqm BXR luxury gym opening its first flagship location in the Middle East.

Backed by heavyweight boxer Anthony Joshua, the London-based brand will bring its high-performance approach to Abu Dhabi, alongside a dedicated wellness centre and longevity clinic offering personalised programmes and a range of longevity services. Together, these experiences are set to make Saadiyat Grove a destination where people can work, connect, relax and prioritise their wellbeing, all within the wider Cultural District.

A new destination in Abu Dhabi

Positioned between some of the most significant cultural institutions in the Middle East, including Louvre Abu Dhabi, Natural History Museum Abu Dhabi and the soon-to-open Guggenheim Abu Dhabi, it will become a natural meeting point for residents, tourists and art lovers alike.

Speaking about the new development, His Excellency Mohamed Khalifa Al Mubarak, Chairman of Aldar, said: “Saadiyat Grove is a centrepiece in our strategy to position Saadiyat Island, and Abu Dhabi more broadly, as a premier global destination for culture-led living, tourism, and investment. It is a place where culture and lifestyle intersect to create a truly differentiated value proposition for residents, visitors, and businesses alike.

“As the first destination of its kind in the region, Saadiyat Grove reflects Abu Dhabi’s ambition to create distinctive experiences that bring together culture, community, and contemporary living, while further enhancing the appeal of Saadiyat Island as one of the world’s leading cultural destinations.”

Instead of simply visiting a museum and heading home afterwards, visitors will be able to turn the experience into a full day out.

Imagine starting the morning exploring incredible exhibitions, stopping for lunch at one of the Grove’s restaurants, browsing luxury boutiques in the afternoon and finishing with sunset drinks overlooking one of the UAE’s most iconic districts.

That’s exactly the kind of lifestyle the development is designed to create.

While many people will visit Saadiyat Grove for its shops and restaurants, it has been designed as a place where people actually live, work and spend time.

By blending retail with culture, architecture, hospitality and wellness, it’s aiming to create something that’s closer to the world’s great lifestyle districts than a conventional mall.

It’s also another sign of how quickly Saadiyat Island is evolving.

Already home to stunning beaches, luxury resorts and globally recognised museums, the island is steadily becoming one of the region’s most complete lifestyle destinations.

Saadiyat Grove will add another important piece to that puzzle, giving both residents and visitors even more reasons to spend an entire day, or even a weekend, exploring everything the island has to offer.

When will Saadiyat Grove open?

The new Saadiyat Mall over the next few months, over the fourth quarter of 2026, but an exact date has not been announced yet. When it opens, expect it to become one of Abu Dhabi’s most talked-about new destinations.

It’s the next chapter in Saadiyat Island’s transformation into one of the world’s leading cultural and lifestyle destinations.
