UAE residents will enjoy a public holiday for Prophet Muhammad’s (PBUH) birthday this weekend
UAE authorities have announced that this Sunday, 15 September will be officially declared as a pubic holiday for Prophet Muhammad’s (PBUH) birthday.
Over the last number of weeks we were all wondering when we could potentially get a break from work, and over the weekend it was finally confirmed.
Life in the UAE often feels like a busy cycle of work and with unforeseen holidays sometimes disrupting plans, many people were eagerly awaiting confirmation of the next official day off.
In 2024, the UAE has/had a lineup of eight public holidays, including major events like Eid-Al-Fitr, Arafat Day, Eid-Al-Adha, and Islamic New Year.
Among these, the Prophet’s Birthday (PBUH), known as Mawlid al-Nabi, is scheduled for 15 September, 2024.
This day is significant in the Islamic calendar, honouring the birth of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).
