Say goodbye to traffic jams as new restrictions set to help clear the capital’s congestion
Starting 27 January, Abu Dhabi is rolling out a game-changing move to tackle traffic chaos – and it’s going to make your daily commute a whole lot smoother!
In an effort to ease congestion and boost road safety, heavy vehicles like trucks and tankers will be banned from the roads during peak hours. Imagine breezing through traffic without those slow-moving giants blocking your way!
From Mondays to Thursdays, avoid the road rage between 6.30-9am and 3-7pm, and on Fridays between 6.30-9am and 11am-1pm

No more crawling behind trucks on your way to work – just clear, fast lanes for you to enjoy.
This change isn’t just about convenience; it’s also about protecting our roads from wear and tear. This new restriction is being rolled out across the UAE, so smoother rides are on the way for everyone!
But remember, while the road may be clear, always stick to the speed limit, follow traffic rules, and keep your driving safe.
Get ready, Abu Dhabi – the road just got a whole lot faster!
