AD Mobility has just installed two shiny new recycling units in Al Ain and Al Dhafra, and here’s the kicker: you can turn your plastic bottles into bus fare!
After a wave of enthusiasm from public bus users, this green initiative is expanding, thanks to a collaboration with the Environment Agency – Abu Dhabi and Cycled Technologies.

Here’s how it works: simply drop your empty plastic bottles into the cycled devices at main bus stations, and watch the points roll in.
Each small bottle (600 ml or less) scores you one point, while larger bottles bag you two points. Rack up those points and convert them into credit on your Hafilat personal card.
With the Cycled Rewards app, you can track your points and watch as they magically turn into bus fare – 10 points equal AED1, and every point counts!
So, next time you hop on a bus in Al Ain or Al Dhafra, make sure you’ve got your plastic bottles ready to trade in for a ride.
