The Mother of the Nation festival is making a comeback – here’s what we already know

Abu Dhabi, Al Ain, and Al Dhafra are set for weeks of family fun

 

The MOTN Festival is back this December for its ninth edition, kicking off in Al Dhafra and Al Ain (28 November to 2 December) before landing at the Abu Dhabi Corniche (10 December to 4 January).

Bigger, bolder, and packed with never-before-seen experiences, MOTN promises an Out of This World adventure for visitors of all ages, combining family-friendly fun, thrilling rides, immersive games, art installations, pop-ups, and global flavours.

Organised by the Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi (DCT Abu Dhabi) and produced by leading festival experts Brag, this year’s edition spans over 30 days across three locations, offering more than 50 immersive experiences.

 

Bounce, Flip, and Play at Big Bounce Arabia

The world’s largest bounce house is a festival highlight! With obstacle courses, slides, hoops, and ball pits, Big Bounce Arabia promises endless fun for kids and adults alike. Leap, climb, and soar through cosmic-themed zones designed to keep everyone laughing and moving.

 

Brave the Carnival of Whispers

Feeling brave? Step into the haunted maze experience where spine-tingling rooms, live scare actors, and immersive effects combine for a thrilling, interactive horror adventure. Perfect for those looking to test their courage this winter!

 

Ninja Kidz Action Park

Meet your heroes at this galaxy-themed indoor trampoline park. Kids can bounce, flip, and defy gravity while exploring ninja-inspired challenges. Meet & Greet sessions run on 11–13 December, with live acrobatic shows on 12–13 December from 7:15 PM, offering action-packed entertainment for the whole family.

Test your skills with Arcade & Bowling, Laser Tag, Basketball Tournaments, or interactive gaming zones including Moment Factory’s immersive experiences.

 

Arts, Crafts, and Family Fun

Families can get creative at Arts & Crafts, enjoy movies at Movies in the Park, or explore The Maze of Maybe and BOUNCE zones. Don’t miss the Out of This World Museum, the Amuse Busker Stage, and other interactive surprises around every corner.

 

Nightly Fireworks & Drone Shows

Look to the sky every night for spectacular drone shows, and on New Year’s Eve, witness fireworks lighting up the Corniche in a dazzling finale to the year’s festivities.
