Getting to ADNEC this week comes with a few route changes
Make it in the Emirates has kicked off in full force in Abu Dhabi, with thousands of industry leaders and visitors flocking to ADNEC for what is the biggest edition to date.
To manage access to the event, there is a full plan in motion, from road closures to park and ride locations. Here’s what you need to know if you’re heading to the event.
How to get to ADNEC for Make it in the Emirates 2026
Visitors are advised to plan their journey in advance, with some minor road closures and park-and-ride options now in place to manage traffic flow.
Driving to MIITE
From 4 to 7 May, parking at ADNEC Centre Abu Dhabi will be restricted to permit holders only. This means that unless you’ve been given special permission to park, you should not be taking your car anywhere near the event.
Park and Ride to MIITE
To make access easier for attendees, authorities have introduced dedicated park-and-ride locations across the city, allowing visitors to park and transfer to shuttle services heading directly to the venue.
These are the three park-and-ride locations:
- Al Raha Beach
- Deerfields Mall
- Marina Mall
These locations are designed to reduce congestion around ADNEC while offering a smoother, more organised arrival experience. All you have to do is head to one of the locations, park your car and jump on one of the shuttles that will drop you off right at the event. These run regularly and are one of the best ways to get to ADNEC for MIITE. Visitors are encouraged to allow extra travel time, especially during peak event hours.
Taking a taxi to MIITE 2026
Another option to get to ADNEC is to get a taxi. These are available to and from the venue, with designated pick up and drop off points. As expected with any big events, waiting times may be longer than usual.
Road closures
At the same time, Abu Dhabi Mobility has announced a partial road closure on Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed International Road (E11) near Al Mirfa in the Al Dhafra region.
The closure will begin on Tuesday, 5 May, and is expected to continue until Sunday, 11 May. Motorists travelling through the area should plan alternative routes and factor in potential delays.
