The UAE has announced a one-day public holiday for the Islamic New Year on Friday, 27 June, marking the Islamic New Year and giving residents a well-deserved break.

The date commemorates the Prophet Muhammad’s migration from Mecca to Medina, an important milestone in the Islamic calendar.

This holiday joins other key dates, like Mawlid Al Nabawi later this year.

So, you can now get planning and can look forward to a long weekend. Think pool and beach days, a trip to the theme parks or even a night out at one of Abu Dhabi finest restaurants.
