The well-known SB Girls are bringing their reunion concert to the capital

If you grew up in the Philippines in the early 2000s, chances are the SB Girls were part of your daily routine, blaring from the TV, filling the living room with dance moves, and soundtracking family afternoons.

Now, that wave of nostalgia is heading straight to the UAE, as the iconic Filipino group kicks off its world tour in Abu Dhabi.

The much-anticipated reunion concert takes place on 8 August at Etihad Arena, Yas Island , marking a major moment for Filipino pop culture fans in the capital.

For the uninitiated, the SB Girls were formed in 1999 as backup dancers for a Philippine noontime show.

Led by Rochelle Pangilinan, alongside members including Jopay Paguia, Sunshine Garcia, and Aira Bermudez, the group quickly became household names.

Their catchy hits – such as The Spaghetti Song, Halukay Ube, Bakit Papa, and Sumayaw Sumunod – turned into instant fan anthems, while their long-running TV series Daisy Syete kept viewers hooked for seven years.

What makes this reunion special is how deeply SB Girls are tied to a pre-social media era, when noontime shows were a family ritual and dance crazes spread through living rooms, not phone screens.

As the group launches its world tour, Filipino fans across the UAE are gearing up for a night of music, dancing, and pure nostalgia.

If you’re ready to relive those moments, or experience them for the first time, this is one concert worth planning ahead for.

AED399 for general admission, AED599 for golden circle, and AED1,049 for VIP. 8 August, Etihad Arena, Yas Island, Abu Dhabi. For further information, visit etihadarena.ae
