Cruise passengers and crew, you don’t need one in the capital anymore.
Too many PCRs bogging down your Abu Dhabi plans? Well, not anymore – at least if you’re a cruise ship passenger or crew.
According to a circular by Abu Dhabi’s Department of Culture and Tourism, cruise ships no longer need to follow the Green Pass procedures in order to enter tourist attractions and establishments in Abu Dhabi.
In lieu of the same, they can now present cards or wristbands issued by cruise ships. The circular was sent to hotels, tourism establishments, event organisers, venue owners, museums, and cultural and leisure attractions in the emirate.
The Green Pass, which can be accessed on Al Hosn app once an individual obtains a negative PCR test result, is valid for 30 days for those who are fully vaccinated, and for seven days for the unvaccinated.
In light of all the mega events coming up in the capital and the pandemic’s fatal nature ebbing, the relaxation of Abu Dhabi’s safety measures is all anyone can talk of. Recently, the NCEMA announced no more masks for people in public places, in addition to the PCR test validity extensions. However, further updates in this vei will only depend on what’s considered absolutely safe.
