The new schedule affects trucks and public transportation too
The Islamic New Year just keeps on giving. Not only do we get to enjoy a three-day weekend, but the Integrated Transport Centre (ITC) of the Department of Municipalities and Transport in Abu Dhabi has announced there will be free parking across Abu Dhabi during the Islamic New Year 2023.

Not only that, but there will also be no toll fees on Abu Dhabi roads as they are set to be suspended on Friday 21 July and reactivated during peak hours (7am and 9am, 5pm until 7pm) on Saturday 22 July.
For drivers looking to get out and about in their vehicles, MAWAQiF surface parking fees will be free of charge from Friday 21 July until 7.59am on Saturday 22 July.

Parking fees at the Musaffah M-18 truck parking lot will also be suspended during this time.
For people using public transport, bus services will operate a weekend and official holidays service.
