If you’ve ever rescued a street cat, fostered a kitten, or simply cared for the furry faces in your neighborhood, you’re not alone.

And now, there’s a fantastic new resource to help you do it even better.

If you’re a seasoned trapper or just starting to care for a local colony, this course has something for everyone.

And it gets even better as AWAD (Animal Welfare Abu Dhabi) partnered on the project, bringing their top-notch veterinary expertise and practical experience to the table.

From verifying the course content to contributing how-to videos on everything from humane trapping to colony care, they’ve made sure the course reflects the real needs of our region, including the climate, common challenges, and local laws.

So, what’s in the course?

Here’s a peek at what you’ll learn:

Why this matters for Abu Dhabi

Here in Abu Dhabi, community cats are part of our daily life. Whether you see them lounging in the shade of your building or weaving through the souk, they’re a visible (and lovable) part of the urban landscape. But caring for them takes more than good intentions; it takes knowledge, tools, and teamwork.

This course helps fill that gap. It empowers individuals and groups with the right information to make a real difference; not just for the cats, but for the communities they live in.

It’s 100 per cent free and available online, so you can learn at your own pace, whether you’re in your living room or out feeding a colony.
