Travellers are being urged to double-check flight schedules this week
Passengers planning travel across the Middle East in the coming days are being strongly advised to verify their flight status.
Several regional carriers have implemented temporary suspensions and schedule changes due to heightened tensions and restricted airspace.
Etihad Airways has suspended its services to Tel Aviv until 22 June and is rerouting several of its other flights to avoid restricted airspace.
The airline has warned of delays and disruptions, urging passengers to stay up to date through its website or app. Flights to Amman, Jordan and Beirut, Lebanon has also be affected.
Emirates Airlines has announced a pause in services to several destinations. Flights to Amman and Beirut are suspended until 22 June, while operations to Tehran, Baghdad, and Basra are expected to remain grounded through 30 June. Service to Tel Aviv also continues to be unavailable.
The airline has issued a clear advisory to passengers transiting through Dubai to avoid onward travel to any affected destinations until further notice. Travellers are encouraged to consult the Emirates website for the most accurate and up-to-date information.
flydubai is also facing route disruptions, citing ongoing regional instability and congestion in international flight corridors. Routes to Iran, Iraq, Israel, and Syria are currently on hold until at least Friday, 20 June.
However, flights to Jordan and Lebanon are expected to resume from Tuesday, 17 June, but only during daylight hours for added safety.
The airline continues to adjust its schedule and has reiterated its commitment to safety, apologising for the inconvenience caused to passengers.
Meanwhile, Air Arabia has extended the suspension of flights to Iran and Iraq through the end of June.
Services to Jordan, Lebanon, and Russia were paused until 16 June, but future adjustments remain possible.

Due to the situation on the ground, the airline has also temporarily shut down sales offices in Iran.
Passengers travelling through Sharjah or Abu Dhabi with affected final destinations are urged not to begin their journey until they’ve confirmed flight status with the airline.
Wizz Air, another budget carrier operating in the region, has halted flights to Israel and Jordan until 20 June. The airline has yet to confirm when regular service will resume.
